what we do

We believe that children are the church of today and tomorrow. We exist to share the good news of Jesus and help equip kids and families as His followers. Their spiritual formation and growth matter to God and to us. We offer age-appropriate classes where they can experience Jesus’ love, hear his truth, and learn how to be his friend and follower.

Each Sunday, children from birth through 3rd grade are invited to attend Kids Worship from 10:30 – 11:45 am, and children in 4th and 5th grade join in the adult Worship service. Families worshiping together is important to us. All our elementary kids join their parents or trusted adults each 4th and 5th Sunday of the month for Family Worship.

Nexus Kids take your child’s safety seriously. All our volunteers are trained and background-checked. Registration for attending is not required. A Rockstar Volunteer will walk you through the check-in process and answer your questions.

Young Explorers is a free gift to the community for children birth to 5 yrs. old. A place for parents, grandparents, or care givers to explore a new environment together and meet new friends. A circle time starts around 10:15 am and highlights a theme through song, story, and craft. Light refreshments and snacks are provided and distributed at the parent’s discretion. We meet Tuesdays 9:30 am -12:00 pm, September through June. Come and go as it works with your daily rhythm.
There are no sign-ups, all are welcome.

We believe that young people are an important part of the Kingdom of God. Their spiritual formation and growth matters to God and to us. We seek to connect young people from across the Portland Metro to Christ and to one another. The Mix Youth Group meets weekly on Sunday nights from 5:00-6:30 p.m. in the Family Life Center with age-related teaching, worship, small group conversations, and fun games. Our youth also enjoy exciting events, leadership development, and service opportunities. These things foster a rich environment for meaningful community and spiritual formation.
